



Johnny Martinez is an accomplished drummer with over a decade of experience across a wide spectrum of musical genres including jazz, rock, hip hop. Known for his dynamic playing style and versatility, Martinez has performed on multiple tours and shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Darek Oles, Erich Revis, Buudrow, Corbin Jones, Wabie, The Stamp Collection, and many others.
Currently under the mentorship of renowned drummer Jeff Hamilton, Martinez's drumming has also been shaped by his studies with Jason Harnell, Dean Koba, Clayton Cameron, Bernie Dresel, and Butch Miles. His passion for sharing his expertise extends to teaching, with five years of experience instructing students of all ages and skill levels, both privately and within music schools.
Martinez's proficiency isn't limited to performance and teaching; he also brings a deep understanding of the studio environment, having recorded drums extensively and possessing valuable insights into the recording process. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music: Jazz Studies, from the University of California Irvine, where he studied under the guidance of Kei Akagi and Michael Dessen, further enriching his musical skill and artistic vision.
